TESSELAT 

                Tired of makeshift and boring backdrops for small scale product photographer, ARTHUR designed the TESSELAT. The modular and adjustable micro-studio assembles into different configurations depending on the subject’s size and requirements, angle of photography and lighting needs.

        Photos can be taken either with the aluminium backdrop or against an adjustable paper inlay. Battery powered LED lighting insert can be attached to any exposed edge slot and is pre-angled to optimally illuminate the centre of the configuration. Individual elements are assembled out of three standardised parts cut precisely out of 1mm aluminium sheet, bent and riveted together. A maximum of 19 elements can be assembled, leaving one face of the quasi-icosahedron open for photography. Upon disassembly, elements can be efficiently stacked and stored.
